Hooky’s English pubs
The English pub is part of our way of life. For hundreds of years the public house has been at the centre of communities in Oxfordshire and throughout the country. The public house is a place where people go to socialise, drink beer, eat food, relax and enjoy themselves. There are no better examples of English pubs than those found in and around Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.
Old pubs to gastro pubs
Hook Norton owns some of the finest uk pubs, from traditional old pubs like the Reindeer in Banbury with its English civil war connections to high quality pub restaurants. We are lucky enough to boast a few “gastro pubs" in our estate. The Angel, close to the centre of Burford, is one of the most popular and well known in Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds. This English pub is a fine example of a 16th Century coaching inn and one of the best pub restaurants you can find. It is an award-winning brasserie with two AA Rosettes.
Ever thought of running your own Pub? Having a pub tenancy can be hard and demanding work but it can also be whole heartedly rewarding and exhilarating.
We have more than 40 public houses, all-different in size, location and style of business, from town centre to village green. What they have in common is the fact they are part of the Hook Norton Brewery family. All the houses are tenanted which means that you have the opportunity to build your own business at the same time as having the support of the Company behind you.
